Craig Christie had a real job once but stumbling out of a successful teaching career to form his company No Mates Productions which for the past eighteen years has been delivering musicals to the world in a variety of fields.
His education based musicals are seen in schools throughout Australia and internationally, attracting audiences of over 150,000 a year and will be unleased upon the unsuspecting children of the United Kingdom later in 2008. His work in engaging communities through musical theatre has earned him an international reputation in the field, resulting in invitations to present papers at a number of prestigious international conferences whose organisers didn't check his qualifications. He has had eleven books published in a variety of fields including the award winning 'Where's Tom?'
Craig has also been at the forefront of the Australian musical theatre scene. His show Crusade became the biggest original score Australian musical ever performed in concert when it was staged in Melbourne in 1998. This went on to an acclaimed season at the Edinburgh Festival in 2000. Other works include the award winning After The Beep (with Mark Jones) and his ground breaking community musicals Water Into Wine and Right Where We Are. Now of course, there's Eurobeat, which totally undermines any credibility he has worked so hard to achieve. Visit www.craigchristie.com.
